Effective Date: May 22, 2025
Version: 1.0

ChurnVision (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, retain, and safeguard your information when you use our locally installed software. As a local-first application, ChurnVision operates without transmitting any user or employee data to our servers.

1. Scope and Applicability

This Privacy Policy applies to your use of the ChurnVision desktop application and related offline features. It does not apply to websites, cloud services, or third-party tools unless explicitly referenced.

ChurnVision is designed for use by enterprise and individual users who operate the application on their own devices. We support full compliance with applicable data protection regulations, including:

  • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) – EU
  • California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) – US
  • Swedish Data Protection Act (Dataskyddsförordningen)

2. Core Principles

  • Local-first Design: All data—including employee data, predictions, and results—remains on your local device.
  • No Remote Access: We do not access, store, or process any customer or employee data remotely.
  • User Control: Users maintain full control over data input, storage, and deletion.

3. Information We May Process

We do not collect or transmit any personal data unless you voluntarily provide it for support or licensing purposes.

a. Locally Stored Data

  • Employee datasets and model outputs are stored and processed exclusively on your device.
  • Project files and predictions are saved in user-defined directories and are not accessible to us.

b. License and Support Data

When activating your license, we may process:

  • License key and version
  • Activation timestamp
  • Basic device identifier (hashed)

When you contact us for support or submit a crash report (optional), we may receive:

  • Email address and message content
  • Error logs (manually submitted by you)

4. How We Use Information

We only process minimal technical or licensing data to:

  • Validate software licenses
  • Respond to support requests
  • Maintain legal compliance

We do not:

  • Track you or your users
  • Access your device content
  • Use data for advertising or profiling

5. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

Where applicable, our processing relies on the following legal grounds:

  • Contractual necessity: To provide and support licensed use of ChurnVision
  • Consent: When you voluntarily share logs or support information
  • Legal obligation: Where required by licensing laws or tax regulations

6. Data Retention

We do not retain any of your operational data (e.g., uploaded employee files, analysis results).

Data you submit for support (if any) is retained for as long as necessary to resolve your issue and is securely deleted afterward.

7. Data Security

We implement the following security measures:

  • All processing remains offline by default
  • No telemetry, analytics, or hidden connections
  • User data is stored in isolated, encrypted project folders
  • Application code and models are digitally signed and packaged securely

If encryption or passwords are used, it is the user's responsibility to safeguard them.

8. User Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including:

  • Right to Access: What minimal data we hold (e.g., license metadata)
  • Right to Erasure: Request deletion of any personal data provided for support
  • Right to Rectification: Correct inaccurate license or contact details

10. Children's Privacy

ChurnVision is intended for professional users. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under the age of 16.

11. International Users
